Born in The Hague. Studied in The Hague, Rotterdam and Belgium. At the present time he lives in Eindhoven.

Came in contact with art at early age through his grandfather, who was a restaurateur in the old city.

When he lived in Nuenen in the early nineties he decided to be an autonomous painter.
